About the course
At 121 Islam, we employ highly qualified, Egyptian teachers that are proficient in the Quran. They are rigorously tested before they are employed to ensure that we are offering a high quality service to our students. Many of our teachers also have ijaazah. One of the best things about our teachers is that they are native Arabic speakers so that you and your children will not have any pronunciation issues that are normally accompanied with non native speakers. Egypt is the number one place for the Quran and many great reciters have originated from here so you can be rest assured that you are in safe hands.

Modules
Haafiz module (Memorisation and revision)
This module is ideal for someone that wishes to become an haafiz of the book of Allah. At 121 Islam, we believe that the biggest challenge for individuals wishing to memorise the Quran is not the actual memorisation but the retention of the Quran that has been memorised i.e the revision. As a result we place special emphasis on this aspect, like they say it’s the quality and not the quantity.

Tajweed program (correct pronunciation)
In the Arabic language, the term tajweed is derived from the verb جود (jawada), meaning enhancement or to make something excellent. Technically, it means giving every letter its right in reciting the Quran. In this program, our qualified teachers will help you to achieve this where constant listening and practice is required. Books such as noor al bayaan and Al-Qaaidah an nooraniyah will also be utilised to aid in this. If you have any specific tajweed book that you would like to go through with the teacher then this is also available.
Qiraats (science of reciting the Quran in multiple ways)
At 121 Islam, we have some dedicated teachers that are proficient in the various recitations of the Quran, including Qirat Naafi' Al-Madani (Madinah), Qirat Ibn Katheer Al-Makki (Makkah), Qirat Hamzah al-Kufi (Kufa), and Qirat Al-Kisaa'i (Kufa).
